I am sitting in my living room, joyful. This cup of Civic Coast Coffee is so thoughtfully expressed. I’m not sure my words will be enough but it is truly delightful. It’s really easy to get caught in the hype of coffee and specifically the commercialization of what it is. My cup is a beautifully coasting, sacred journey toward mindfulness. My expertise isn’t specifically coffee, roasting, or even tasting; but this bag of the best smelling beans I’ve come across so far made me feel joy, humanity, and helped me return to a big passion of mine.

The bag is extremely minimal, the tasting notes are inviting, and it comes across as all about the beans. Thank you, Bryan, for your gift. Truly. To be quite honest, it really is just one of those things you have to experience for yourself. The thing that I am most impressed with is how, in this fast-paced, hyper-caffeinated industry, this bag of coffee is roasted to a fine art that calls you to slow down. You kind of have to coast through the experience it offers. Coast as in be present, sip, breath, and let the cup move you.
