‘Your Daily Bread’ - Biochemist creates new method of healing with the light.
I’m beyond blessed to have sat down with author, curandera, biochemist, health-based entrepreneur, and healer, Melissa Mena-Schneller of MeLi Methods, in my favorite park to talk about her brand new book ‘Your Daily Bread’ currently available on Amazon. I have read this book start to finish and began reading it a second time because of how innovative her brand new method of healing is. This is one of the most genius, interesting, and brilliant people I’ve ever had the pleasure to meet. There is healing in this book that has helped people in multitudes of ways and new information that will change medicine, healing, and our relationships to our bodies if you spend a little time looking into her world. This is only part one but I invite you to heal with us on this incredible new journey to being the light you have been put here to be. Our interview spans over an hour but I wanted to create the space for this immensely talented biochemist to share with us what ‘Your Daily Bread’ is in her own words.
Going through my notes, I pulled a bunch of quotes..
“I don’t think I realized until I was about halfway through that God was really just pushing out a message through me.”
What does Your Daily Bread mean to you?
Meli: For me, it is the message I want to send out into the world. It felt like the best way for me to get the message out. I didn’t expect to write it. I just started writing it. From that point on it was a flow state. I don’t think I realized until I was about halfway through that God was really just pushing out a message through me. I don’t know if it’ll take off or not but I know I’m supposed to write this message and it’s for somebody at least. That’s what it means for me. Spreading the idea that our health and our bodies designs are absolutely beautiful and understandable and you don’t have to be too scared of the entities that be in order to take it back into your own power.

“The exact instrument that I would one day need was being sharpened in me, so that when I finally sat down and read the Bible again, this time, I would be able to see what was there.” - Melissa Mena Schneller ‘Your Daily Bread.”
How do you feel like you learned to see as you were getting ready to write this book?
Meli: “I leaned pretty heavily on the oak tree metaphor. That’s something Emma Curtis Hopkins (author) pointed out. That point in time where something in you just changes and you’re finding God again and it’s something brand new. Just this spiritual awakening. And when you have that, you feel like a different person on the other side. There are certain beautiful aspirations and beautiful thoughts about the world that you’ve held since you were a child. Whenever they pop up into your mind and you notice them, take a moment to just appreciate them because those are your oak trees that have been growing since you were a child. That was God’s work since you were a child, before the spiritual awakening, so that you can use it now. It’s not a fresh, brand new thing. It’s something that has been growing in you. It’s instilled. It’s an oak tree. I just kept seeing that as I read the Book. Moments in my life that weren’t that big of a deal but that have always stuck out to me. That have always felt like divine intervention. And then as I’m reading the Bible, it’s like I wouldn’t have caught that if it wasn’t for these weird series of events that I remember.”
“It’s definitely the science side of things, coming back to it [the Bible] as a biochemist, and not just the science alone. I’ve seen God in the science that I do. That’s why I’m so fascinated with it since I was a kid. That’s one of my oak trees. That’s never been a problem for me. But what was interesting was everything I learned from working in the industry for a decade and about the world around us; quality control, clinical trials, and germ theory. It’s that kind of stuff that when I started reading it [the Bible], I’m like this looks the exact same. We were doing the exact same thing 3000 years ago (laughs). That was really wild and unexpected to see.” - Melissa Mena-Schneller
What’s something that you think that people need to know about their health that they would be surprised to find in this book?
Meli: I don’t like to fear-monger but I think this is the surprising part: How many things that are working against them that look ordinary right now. That’s been a big thing I’ve been seeing. Judgement. And how when you lose judgement because you’re “doing your job” or living your day-to-day, that’s how evil can come about. But it’s like ordinary evil. It’s like things we study psychology about like N*zi Germany. How ordinary people could be doing evil things because they lose their judgement and they’re just following the rules. They’re not discerning for themselves. We’re so used to this world we’re living in. There are people who look ordinary who are doing evil things in a lot of different industries right now that are hurting a lot of people. In a low-grade, chronic way, and it’s making a lot of people sick. The #1 thing you can have to combat that is understanding it. Not freaking out and being terrified but knowing there are small things you can do to fix it and there are ways you can relearn to understand your body. And there’s hope.”
Meli’s dog, Eloise, seems to like the book too.
Let’s talk about hope!
What are you hopeful for after writing this book?
Meli: I am hopeful that one by one, people will read this book, and they will start to think about their body in a different way and maybe a newfound appreciation for how fantastically beautiful the body really is. And how it looks like magic until you have the science. I hope people find that newfound appreciation but also I hope people get interested about reading the Bible for themselves. Because I say throughout it [Your Daily Bread], this is the perspective of a biochemist but not everyone is a biochemist and not everyone will have that perspective. Maybe even for selfish reasons I’m curious what everyone else’s perspectives are. And if everyone has these epiphanies then we can put them all together and start collaborating on it. My biggest hope for this book is that it starts conversations with other people who haven’t lost their judgement, who are still thinking deeply about whatever it is they think about, whatever oak trees they have, and what comes out of those. Just talk about it.”
My hope is that you’ll begin to journey into healing with the knowledge that there is hope.
